Original series in the Mochi house style. Written first. Drawn to stay drawn. One minute, studio finish.

Each series began as a one-page screenplay in the Mochi episode format: a cold open, the turn at thirty seconds, the cliffhanger at fifty-eight. The script sits beside the phone. Press play and watch the lines light as they are spoken. What is on the page is what is on the screen.
Everyone at Vermilion High is ranked by aura. Kai's is zero. That is why the thing under the school cannot see him.
Cold open · Classroom 2-B · late afternoon
Cold blue window light, long god-rays in the dust. Every student stands beside a desk. Every steel pin on every lapel is spinning through digits.
Teacher (o.s.)
Ranking day. Pins up.
The pins settle. Soft colors bloom around each student. Marlowe's settles on 1 and his gold flares so bright the desks throw shadows. Kai's pin clicks to 0. No color. The laughter starts small and spreads.
Marlowe
Zero. Again. Does he even show up on the scanner?
Kai
I show up. Nobody looks.
The turn · 0:30
The fluorescents die. Every aura in the room bends toward the floor like smoke pulled into a drain. Marlowe's gold stretches first.
Classmate
What is that?
Dark. The only light left is the light being eaten. Marlowe on his knees, gold draining into the floorboards, his pin ticking 1, then 0. The dark moves through the room feeding, and passes Kai without a pause. He is the only one standing.
Marlowe
It can't see you.
Kai
No one ever could.
Cliffhanger · 0:58
He picks up Marlowe's fallen pin. It reads 1. In his other hand his own pin, still 0, begins to glow a violet black light. The number flickers.
Director's note. The laughter is the monster's dinner bell. We hold on Kai's empty edges before the lights die, so the audience learns to see nothing.

Ren can read the last text every relationship will ever send. Then he meets a girl whose last text is blank.
Cold open · The crossing · night · rain
Neon in the puddles. Couples under umbrellas. Above every couple floats a pale bubble holding a few words: "we should talk" · "it's not you" · "lol ok".
Ren (v.o.)
Everyone gets a last text. I read it before the first one.
Ren walks through them without looking away. He is used to it.
Ren (v.o.)
Hers said "lol ok." Three weeks.
The turn · 0:30
A bus shelter. A girl alone under the light, red scarf, looking up. Ren looks up too. Above her: nothing. Empty air. He stops in the rain.
Noa
You're staring.
Ren
Sorry. You don't have one.
Above her the air begins to form something: an empty bubble, three dots pulsing. She steps into the rain and looks up at the space above his head, the one place he has never been able to see.
Noa
Neither do you.
Cliffhanger · 0:58
Noa
You can see them too?
Director's note. The bubbles are set in the same type as a real phone. Ren never looks at faces, only above them, until the one place he cannot see.

He woke up in the Demon King's body. The heroes arrived ten minutes later.
Cold open · The throne hall
Obsidian columns, rivers of magma under a glass floor. Dan wakes on the throne, looks down at clawed hands the size of chairs, and tries to scream. What comes out shakes dust from the ceiling. His tail takes out a column.
Grub
Sire. The heroes are at the gate.
Dan
The what?
The gates explode inward. The party charges. Dan puts both hands up, palms out, the universal gesture.
Dan
Wait, wait, I'm new!
The turn · 0:30
A violet beam fires from his open palm on its own and removes the roof. Daylight pours into hell. The fight: the knight comes in low, Dan dodges by falling over. Every hit lands a lesson. By the third exchange he is blocking with a wing he did not know he had. The clash tears the knight's helm free. Auburn ponytail. A scar on the chin.
Dan
Mia?
Cliffhanger · 0:58
Mia
Took you long enough.
Director's note. All the comedy is posture. The face is a demon's, the shoulders are Dan's. The fight is a lesson plan, one move per hit.

The ranking moment from AURA ZERO, drawn twice from the same script and the same cast sheets. Left, the house style Mochi runs today, done properly. Right, the same fifteen seconds with a theatrical finish. Replicate the look, or lift it. Same minute either way.
Every lead has a model sheet before a single scene is drawn: three views, two expressions, one drawing. That is how the cast stays the cast in every shot of every episode, and it is the sheet an animator keeps pinned above the desk.

The world of each series is designed as a set of plates before the episode is shot: the room, the street, the hall, and the one frame the whole minute is built to reach. The same classroom is in every shot of AURA ZERO because there is only one classroom.

Title cards are cut from each world's own material: steel for the pin, a message bubble for the text, obsidian for the boss.
A season is written before a frame is drawn. The cliffhanger of each minute is the cold open of the next, and every ten episodes the number moves. The full arc for one series, so a daily drop is a schedule, not a gamble.
The school ranks him last. The thing under the school ranks him invisible.
Zero can walk where no one else can. Everyone who has ever laughed needs him now.
The violet light has a price, and the thing has learned his name.
The same departments an animation studio runs, sized to a one-minute episode and a daily drop. Every department answers to the script.
One page, one minute. The turn at thirty seconds, the cliffhanger at fifty-eight. The season is arced before the first episode is drawn.
Model sheets before the first scene. Three views, two expressions, one drawing. The cast stays the cast.
The world is painted once and lives in every shot: the same classroom, the same rain, the same throne.
Acting in the hands and the eyes. Choreography, smears, impact frames. Motion, not a held drawing with a drift.
Performed lines, foley, a score written to the beats, a mix with headroom. Every scripted word is checked against the finished sound.
The spot the studio would cut for the app, in the same house style as the shows it sells. One stop on the train is one minute. One minute on Mochi is a season. The doors open on the line.

Everything above, the scripts, the cast, the worlds and the pilots, was written, designed and directed by our studio, brief to finished pilots in a day.
Everything above took one day.
